I am very proud about my self & it's my pleasure to share my story.

Called as hot city, the mother of all cement factories, contributing 60% red gram to Karnataka state, also known as Kalburgi and famous for varies stones that is my Gulbarga district. I am Rajabali K Mangalgi. My father is Khajamiya and mother is Laksharbhi. I am so proud to be a son of my lovely parents. If I look at my childhood days in my middle class family I was little luckiest guy among my brothers because my both elder brothers started to work when they were 10 years old and my elder brother wanted me to be an educated & specially wished me to be a teacher. He used to take me to school daily.

One day, what happened? I and my friends went for swimming in Kagina River.  My elder brother came to know that, I went to River and he was searching for me there. He could not find me because I was sitting in gross beside of the River. He asked my friends about me they told that he did not come to swim but my brother has seen my clothes and took that with him went to home. I am more varied & was thinking how I could go to my home.  It was very unforgettable day in my life.

When I was studying 5th STD my father decided to send my elder brother’s family to Mumbai to work and earn money. After 15 days my brother wanted me to come to Mumbai. In my life first time, I had journey by railway. I thought of that my brother would send me after few days to my native, but surprisingly he told me to work in the same company and earn money but I did not want to work. I wanted to continue my education so one day I planned to run away from Mumbai and I did it. I came to my Taluk place without informing anyone & lived in Venkatraman matt up to 4 four months later my family came to know that I was living in the matt.

During my childhood I loved to play Kho-Kho game and my teacher wanted me to be a state level player & inspired me to achieve within 3years. As per my teacher aspiration I achieved within 2year that was my biggest achievement in my life. During my PUC & Degree I worked as filed worker in Jyoti Seva Kendra and there to see organization social welfare services thought that to contribute something for society. While working in organization, got suggestion to study MSW course which would fulfill my dream and I decided to study for the same course but I did not have money to join MSW course. In the same time my family members were trying to arrange my marriage & asked my opinion on marriage. I rejected and said, I don’t want to get marry now because I was more worried & thinking about joining MSW course. My sister told me that they would help me to continue my education I also thought that myself & my heart said get it so I got marry & completed my MSW with help of my wife.
When I was studying in MSW course, I had lots of organizations filed visit & saw their work & services so I decided to start my own organization with my close friends. I went to my class HOD to discuss about startup etiquettes of Ngo. He suggested come up with details of 7people & name of organization. I discussed with friends about this & I also spent lots of time on thinking what exactly name could be finally decided to put name of GURDS (Global Urban & Rural Development Society).

I joined DFP to fulfill intellectual knowledge & understand organization etiquette with those objectives started my fellowship. In the fellowship improved well whereas awarded 3 time as star performer of the month & end of the completion of fellowship awarded as Champion of Champions.

Coming to the final conclusion from last three years working for Deshpande Foundation made me more confident & well known person so I would salute DF.
