Ø Introduction :-
We did PRA practice in Abbigeri village, it was a good experience for us . we used to practice PRA tools Such as Social and Resource mapping, seasonal calendar , cotton crops calendar, Value chain , Venn diagram , and pair wise ranking , we collected some valuable data through this activity.
Ø Meaning of PRA :-
PRA (participatory rural appraisal) in the sense it is helps to know about village. There are many problems and there are many different cultures. We have to use PRA in analysis village to tell. We have to study village. It called PRA.
Ø Objectives of PRA:-
1. Innvole the all village formers
2. Find out the problems
3. Find the resources
4. Life style of village people
5. Relations between villagers
6. Geographical area of village
7. Collected particular data.
Ø Village profile:
Total population of village according to 2011 – 8,616.
Total houses in the village – 2,113.
Agriculture is the main occupation of the villagers in Abbigere.
Total land of the village according to 2011 – 14,362 acre.
1 acre = 40 Gunte.
1 hector = 2.8 acre.
Agricultural land – 13,851 acre.
Former accounts in co-operative society – 2,650.
SHG’s in the village – 43
Child labours are there but they are working in morning from 6 to 9AM
And when they get holidays they are working full time in onion work in the village.

It is very helpful tools of PRA because it gives all village basic information through these activities we find about households. Social institution, natural resources, schools, relation between various religions, life style, agricultural land, and culture.

Through social mapping we found out this institution in village. It village has more facilities. Krishna, Prashanth, Govindraj, Rajabali, Mamatha and Sheela we are facilitated these tools in the village of Abbigere.
Ø Seasonal calendar
We collected data about seasonal calendar data with formers through this activities they which types of crops forming in the village by seasonal wise , it helps to know about in the village what they are farming crops.
This activity facilitated by Krishna , In that time 30 formers attended. They have given information initiatively and they filled all information on chart, they give data with discussed them selves.

Ø Cotton crops calendar:-
Through this activity We used calendar tool and We collected data with village formers.
It uses to know about when they form cotton crops. This tool facilitate Govindraj .
He gave teach about this tool and we told them, they took this work initiatively. They have written whole processors of cotton crops.

Analysis:- We used this tool to collected particular data this data showed in the village formers they do activity about cotton corps. In the month of August they do weeding in the agriculture land.
September:- In this village month of September they form cotton seed. They form Bt cotton , onion , chilli, Jaidher cotton all crops seed in the month.
October:- Once again they weed

Ø Venn diagram:
This tool facilitated by Rajabali and Mamatha through this activity they collected social institutes, and which very needed the village people and which are not useful to villagers they asked about those things then villagers said which need and needn’t to them.
We made two round paper sheet small was shows villagers not accepted and big one shows that it was need to them. This is depending upon villagers. Everyone participated in this tool that was attended there. We called such as hospital, school, bank, anganvadi, post office, lakes, Gram panchayat, Co- operative society, Market place, Bus stand, Wells, Tanks and Government tanks. There is such as Gram panchayat, some Anganvadi, Market place, Bus stand these are not working properly that is why Abbigere village people gave second preference to those social institutions.
Ø Daily wages labour :
In this sector we collected data about daily wages labour. In the village month of June, They want more labour but they do not get proper labours , they bring from other villages labour . In this village men worker get 150rs wage for a day , women labour get 120rs wage for day.
Ø Chemical liquids : trough this activity We find that , village formers are us many chemicals, in the July month they use Salton chemical, In August they use Menu proto plus chemical for destroy insects .month of November they use sardon, Fame, porcelain, Daspaine ,Megha stores, Menu proto plus Kin drugs and all chemical.

Month of June rain name is Roni rain , Mrughsira rain.
In the month of July Aradrya , punaruvasu rain.

Ø Difference between B T cotton and Jaydhar cotton
Through this activity we found difference between B T and Jaydher cotton Prashant conducted the activity formers take incisiatvely and they made chart.
Analysis : For one acre
Yield – 4 to 5 quintal( BT) Jaydhar 3 quintal
Market – 3500to 4000/- 3500/-
Expenditure - 10,000/- 8000/-
Ø Cotton value chain
In this activity we found value chain about cotton markets, where they sale there agriculture products examples local market Gadaga APMC , mediator that village many formers are sale they product to Gadag APMC and some are sale local shops and little bit formers they gave to jinn and they get seeds back .
